The 2020 Beijing Zhiyuan Conference (June 21‑24) is an online event that brings together five Turing Award laureates—Judea Pearl, Alan Kay, Manuel Blum, Joseph Sifakis, and John Hopcroft—and more than 100 AI experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence.
Keynote and plenary sessions feature leaders from academia and industry, including talks on causal inference, deep learning advances, AI ethics, AI for healthcare, AI for transportation, and AI entrepreneurship.
Four days of programming include 19 specialized forums covering topics such as AI mathematical foundations, intelligent system architecture and chips, AI for women in tech, speech and natural language processing, cognitive neuroscience, machine perception, AI ethics and governance, AI for medical applications, AI entrepreneurship, AI for traffic, machine learning, reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, AI frameworks, and AI for pandemic response.
Highlights include a plenary discussion on "The New Science of Cause and Effect," a round‑table on AI industry trends, and a closing session on AI safety, privacy, and interpretability.
