AI-Driven Human-Like Robots: Insights from the 2024 Inclusion·外滩大会

As artificial intelligence technology continues to advance, robots are becoming more human-like, and the robot industry is entering an unprecedented golden development period. According to a recent report by CCID Consulting, the Chinese humanoid robot market is expected to exceed 20 billion CNY by 2026.

While robots develop rapidly, many wonder whether this wave of AI will make robots more like humans and what impact they will have on work and daily life.

On September 6, at the 2024 Inclusion·外滩大会 Innovator Stage, three entrepreneurs deeply involved in robotics explored how AI can make robots more human-like, showcasing the limitless potential of combining AI with hardware through their insights and practical experiences, offering possible answers to the above questions.

Dr. Zeng Xiaodong, from Wu Jie Fang Zhou (无界方舟), explained that AI agents are the core of robots, enabling them to become smarter and more human‑centric. He shared the company's focus on developing AI agents that foster a symbiotic relationship between users and intelligent agents, emphasizing that AI agents will become important partners in both work and life.

Dr. Shi Yunlei, founder and CEO of Shanghai Rushen Robot Technology Co., highlighted the role of medical robots in improving surgical efficiency, precision, and lowering procedural barriers. He noted that future medical robots will be more intelligent, personalized, and human-friendly, and revealed the company's development of a general-purpose home service robot aimed at providing convenient, caring services for households.

Dr. Liang Conghui, founder and CEO of Shanghai Zhikepai Robot Technology Co., focused on the next generation of embodied intelligent robots. He argued that personality and personalization are key features for personal robots, enabling more natural human‑robot interaction and better integration into daily life.
