AIGC in Action: Transforming Auto Show Design with AI

In the digital age, operational design projects face challenges such as massive element handling, complex task management, and the need for high‑quality content on tight deadlines. AIGC (Artificial Intelligence‑Generated Content) offers powerful support, greatly simplifying design implementation.

After extensive development, AI is now widely applied in design workflows. This article shares practical insights and experiences of applying AIGC in real projects.

Case Study – Guangzhou International Auto Show Main KV

The Guangzhou Auto Show is a top‑tier project, one of China’s three major auto shows. Upon receiving the brief, the design team needed to create the main key visual quickly. They first defined keyword scope, then rapidly gathered mood boards, considering composition and color to lock in the design direction and style.

1. Keyword Extraction

Key terms focused on automotive scenes, Guangzhou landmarks, the brand IP "Bafu", and a futuristic tech theme for the show.

2. Mood‑Board Collection

Collected references while contemplating composition and color schemes to determine the visual style.

3. AI‑Assisted Creative + Composition

Developed creative sketches, experimented with multiple compositions, and confirmed the chosen layout with the client.

4. MJ Scene & Element Rendering

Using Midjourney, various keywords and parameters were tried to generate diverse images. Professional terminology was employed to increase variety while avoiding prohibited terms.

5. Composite Adjustment to Meet Planning Goals

The main visual’s typography was manually designed in Photoshop. Afterward, compositing refined details, added brand elements, and incorporated dynamic effects to achieve the intended outcome.

Through accumulated experience, AIGC now shows broad application prospects in operational projects. It can boost efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver cost‑effective visual results, opening limitless possibilities for event design. As AI technology continues to evolve, mastering AI skills will become essential for designers seeking higher productivity.
