Alibaba Cloud DNS Product Upgrade and Ecosystem Strategy at Yunqi Conference 2023
At the Yunqi Conference on October 31, Alibaba Cloud’s DNS team unveiled major upgrades to its cloud DNS product, detailing a unified “one platform, two ends” architecture, multi‑cloud integration, enhanced reliability, security, and ecosystem initiatives, with case studies from Geely, China Communications, and others.
On October 31, the Yunqi Conference’s forum themed “‘DNS+’ Connecting Everything, Addressing First” was successfully held in Hangzhou, where three leaders from Alibaba Cloud DNS presented product upgrades, technical capabilities, and ecosystem strategies, and invited customers and partners to share their DNS research and application experiences.
According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology’s 2022 Hybrid Cloud User Development Survey, enterprise IT infrastructure has entered a “multi‑cloud + traditional IDC” integration stage. DNS, as the first hop for application access, must address global interconnection and unified scheduling across heterogeneous environments such as public cloud, private cloud, and traditional IDC.
Product Lead Liu Zhihui introduced the Cloud DNS product system, positioning it as a core solution for integrated IP intelligent addressing and scheduling in multi‑cloud + self‑built IDC scenarios. This year’s upgrade enhances resource management, heterogeneous disaster recovery, full‑link visibility, flexible integration, standardized processes, and operational service capabilities.
The product now serves two ends (IDC side and device SDK side). The platform’s capabilities are delivered as software, enabling standardized IDC deployment, while the SDK optimizes terminal DNS performance. On the platform side, enhancements in visibility, unified management, ultra‑high availability, and full‑link closure meet customer needs for both internal and public DNS resolution, performance analysis, configuration, domain control, stability, low‑latency resolution, and global scheduling.
