3.1 Automation Platform Development Plan

3.1.1 Functional Requirements The platform supports automated testing of APIs, AppUI, and WebUI performance, and integrates modules for test case management, product management, task scheduling, test reporting, scheduled tasks, and continuous integration. It aims to separate data, scripts, and tasks for easier maintenance, lower cost, more intuitive data, faster delivery, and enable non‑coding manual testers to participate. The overall architecture is shown in Figure 3.1.

3.1.3 Development Timeline For beginners with some coding background, roughly three months are needed to produce a demo version for automated testing, and within six months they can competently handle project‑level automation testing. For testers already familiar with automation, a demo can be built in about one month, and within three months they can be fully competent.

3.1.4 ROI Visualization The return‑on‑investment visualization is presented in Table 3.2, illustrated by the following image:

3.1.5 Post‑Optimization Plan Future optimization will focus on UI improvements, script management, test report enhancements, performance testing module refinement, email module upgrades, and other features.
