Overview

The article introduces Tongyi Lingma, an AI‑powered coding assistant from Alibaba Cloud, and explains how it can be leveraged during the autumn recruitment season to practice algorithm questions, generate and optimize code, and quickly retrieve technical knowledge.

Installation in Visual Studio Code

Two installation methods are provided:

Open the VS Code Extensions view, search for Tongyi Lingma , click Install , then restart the IDE.

Download the VSIX package from

, open VS Code, choose Install from VSIX , select the downloaded file, and restart.

Login and Start Using the Assistant

After restarting VS Code, click the Tongyi Lingma icon in the side bar, then click the login button. Any Alibaba Cloud main account or RAM user without an enterprise subscription can log in and start using the plugin.

Interview‑Season Features

The assistant supports three main activities for interview preparation:

Simulated question practice: By entering @灵码 面试题, the assistant returns five random interview questions covering front‑end, back‑end, and algorithm topics.

Targeted question sets: Commands such as @灵码 我是算法, @灵码 我是前端, or @灵码 我是后端 fetch five questions specific to the chosen role.

Answer evaluation and explanation: After answering, users can ask the assistant to evaluate the response (e.g., “请对我的回答作出评价”). They can also paste a solution and request detailed explanations, code optimization, unit‑test generation, or comments.

Additional Tips

If the Tongyi Lingma icon is not visible in the side bar, right‑click the navigation area, enable the plugin, and the icon will appear.
