Building a 99.95% Uptime Cloud‑Native Platform: Guoxin Securities’ Ops Journey

On October 28, 2022, the 6th GOITI 2022 IT Technology Leadership Awards ceremony was held in Shanghai, jointly organized by GreatOPS and DevOps Era communities. The Guoxin Securities QianKun Centralized Operation Platform Technical Operations Team won the Wind‑Cloud Team Award in the securities industry.

Team Introduction and Project Background

Amid the fintech wave, the team embraced micro‑services, cloud computing, big data, and AI, focusing on customer‑centric, high‑quality service. Following a roadmap of standardization → automation → platformization → digitization, they achieved industry‑leading digital capabilities, supporting business growth and providing a reference model for peers.

The team comprises service managers, product managers, architects, developers, QA, and SRE engineers, responsible for design, delivery, and operation of the QianKun platform. Their mission is to deliver stable, efficient, secure, and user‑friendly securities services, aiming to become an industry‑leading operations team.

QianKun integrates acceptance, review, and management platforms, offering uninterrupted services such as remote account opening and multi‑channel onboarding. The micro‑service framework improved non‑onsite account opening efficiency by over 23% compared with monolithic architecture.

Project Construction Plan

The platform targets higher operational efficiency, reduced maintenance difficulty, robust availability, rapid business iteration, and enhanced user experience. After micro‑service decomposition, it supports a “two‑site three‑center” deployment, enabling automatic, seamless service switching across regions.

Challenges and Issues

The first challenge was the lack of existing containerized micro‑service platforms in the securities sector, forcing the team to pioneer a high‑risk solution. Leveraging the Fengniao Cloud container platform, they broke network limits and reported service data to the Panshi CMDB, becoming one of the first brokerage platforms to adopt containerized micro‑services.

The second challenge involved balancing stability and migration speed during the transition from monolith to micro‑services. The team adopted a dual‑architecture approach with phased migration across three data centers, ensuring continuous business stability.

System Highlights

Using the AIOps XianZhi intelligent operations platform, the team predicts system risks and provides proactive strategies, enhancing SRE efficiency.

AI‑driven forecasting of non‑onsite account opening volume enables dynamic elastic scaling, as illustrated below:

Chaos engineering experiments, powered by the DeepSea performance testing platform, uncover system weak points and improve robustness.

The cost‑management platform provides multi‑dimensional cost analysis linked to capacity metrics, automatically generating elastic scaling recommendations.

Practice Results and Honors

The platform delivers 24/7 non‑onsite account opening with availability consistently above 99.95%, even during weekend testing, disaster‑recovery drills, and production stress tests, dramatically improving customer satisfaction.

Guoxin Securities’ continuous investment in IT and DevOps standards has earned multiple industry recognitions, confirming the advanced level of their technical operations capabilities.
