Chrome 100 Beta Introduces Multi‑Screen Window Placement and Digital Goods APIs

After Chrome 99 was released, Chrome 100 has been upgraded to a beta version, which includes two new APIs: the Multi‑Screen Window Placement API and the Digital Goods API, as well as some feature updates.

Multi‑Screen Window Placement: The Multi‑Screen Window Placement API is designed to better handle multi‑window applications across multiple displays, with example use cases such as cross‑screen slide shows, financial dashboards spanning monitors, medical imaging applications, and creative tools on multiple screens.

Digital Goods: The Digital Goods API is used to query and manage digital products, facilitating in‑app purchases from web applications. This new API works together with the Payment Request API, which is used for physical goods purchases; click here for a detailed introduction.

Other updates are not detailed here; interested readers can view the blog for more information, and the Chrome 100 stable version is expected to be released at the end of March.
