Deploy Coze Open‑Source AI Agent Platform on Volcengine in Minutes

This guide walks through deploying the open‑source Coze AI Agent platform using Volcengine ECS's one‑click service, customizing large language models, building a DeepResearch workflow, and explains why open‑sourcing the stack accelerates the collaborative future of AI agents.

Deploy Coze Open‑Source AI Agent Platform on Volcengine in Minutes

Coze, an open‑source AI Agent platform, uses Golang for the backend and React + TypeScript for the frontend, built on a micro‑service architecture.

We deployed the full workflow on Volcengine ECS using its one‑click deployment feature, which quickly provisions the service.

After creating the application and configuring the admin email, the platform is accessible via its WebUI; the default models are doubao‑seed‑1.6‑250615 and doubao‑embedding‑large‑text‑250515.

To switch to custom models, enable the desired model service on Volcengine Ark, edit the .env file under ~/workspace/opencoze, and restart the Docker container.

Using the platform’s workflow capabilities we built a “DeepResearch” application that combines the 1.6‑thinking‑250715 model with a structured framework to generate long‑form research reports.

DeepResearch performs iterative web search, reasoning, and summarisation, producing detailed answers such as “What is an Agent?” with multi‑turn search and synthesis.

The open‑source release aims to accelerate the AI Agent ecosystem, improve security through transparent code, and gather global developer feedback.

Combined with Volcengine’s automated deployment tools, Coze provides an end‑to‑end infrastructure for rapid prototyping to production‑grade Agent services.
