How Anxin Securities Achieved Level 2 DevOps Maturity: Insights from the 2021 GOLF+ IT Governance Forum
Anxin Securities' Financial Store System passed the Level 2 DevOps technology‑operations assessment at the 2021 GOLF+ IT Governance Forum, revealing how standardization, tool empowerment, and cross‑team collaboration drive digital transformation in the financial sector.
According to a McKinsey study, technology companies succeed through standardization and tool empowerment. This aligns with the core idea of technical operations standards, which systematize common capability modules and practices.
On December 24, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) launched the 2021 GOLF+ IT Governance Forum, focusing on new technology governance and XOPS innovation. The forum featured speeches and experience sharing to promote digital governance.
CAICT announced the fifth batch of DevOps technology‑operations assessment results. Anxin Securities participated with its Financial Store System project, which passed the Level 2 technology‑operations assessment of the DevOps capability maturity model.
Interviews with Anxin Securities CIO Xu Yanbing and System Operations General Manager Liang Dehan revealed that the Level 2 assessment reflects advanced domestic standards, motivating the DevOps team.
The company integrates AI, blockchain, cloud computing, and big data into its digital transformation, viewing the DevOps standard as crucial for guiding this process.
Preparation for the assessment began at the end of 2020, using the DevOps‑CO standard to identify gaps and adopt best practices, emphasizing cross‑team collaboration and tool platform integration.
Liang explained that while many internet companies already have in‑house operation tools, securities firms often rely on a mix of commercial and open‑source products, requiring significant development effort to achieve end‑to‑end tool integration.
Future plans include further improving IT R&D‑operations capabilities, advancing cloud‑native practices, and implementing DevOps‑CICDCO integrated capabilities to support comprehensive digital transformation.
The DevOps capability maturity model, jointly developed by CAICT, industry alliances, and leading internet companies, is the first comprehensive DevOps standard in China and has been recognized as an international standard by ITU‑T.
The model covers agile development management, continuous delivery, technology operations, application design, security and risk management, and system and tool assessment.
