So far, 33 projects from 10 major securities institutions have passed the DevOps maturity assessment, covering continuous delivery, technical operation, security & risk management, and system & tool standards.

Case Studies

Huatai Securities

Two projects—CRM marketing ("Zhuifeng") and XTrader—were evaluated at Continuous Delivery Level 3. The teams applied Scrum, involving product managers, Scrum Masters, architects, developers, testers, and operations staff, aligning roles with agile and lean practices.

Anxin Securities

Three projects—Mobile Trading Service Platform, User Center, and Internet Customer Service Platform—were assessed at Continuous Delivery Level 3. Improvements included raising unit‑test coverage from 30% to over 75%, automation test ratio from 40% to over 80%, and reducing average delivery cycle to 5.7 days, a 70% acceleration.

Guoxin Securities (Gold Sun)

The Gold Sun investment platform, with over 16 million registered users, achieved continuous delivery Level 3, reducing average delivery time from 1.5 months to one week, increasing unit‑test coverage to 84.39%, and attaining 100% automation test coverage.

China Merchants Securities

Two projects—New Generation OTC Derivatives Management System and Investment Banking Draft Management System—were evaluated at Continuous Delivery Level 3, earning a first‑place award in the 2022 Shenzhen Financial Innovation Competition.

Technical Operation (Standard 4) Highlights

Huatai Securities’ Zhanga Wealth app, serving millions of retail investors, achieved Technical Operation Level 2 by implementing multi‑active data centers, CDN, and automated deployment pipelines.

Security & Risk Management (Standard 6) Highlights

Huatai Securities’ Data Science Development Platform integrated security lifecycle management, automated security tools, and DevSecOps practices, achieving Security Level 2.

System & Tool (Standard 8) Highlights

China International Capital Corp.’s “Tianji” DevOps platform provides end‑to‑end CI/CD, supporting Maven, Gradle, NPM, iOS, Android, Python, and C++ builds, with over 1,500 pipelines and 100 plugins, boosting delivery speed threefold.
