How Manycore Design Unified Our UI Components Across Teams

Manycore Design, the design system developed by Qunhe, plays a crucial role in standardizing the company's product suite.

This article introduces the composition and development of Manycore Design.

Tracing the development history of the Cool Home component library, we started by using third‑party component libraries to meet needs; due to high refactoring costs and maintenance difficulty, each business built its own components, and finally the UED team consolidated eight business component libraries into a single design system (Manycore Design). This four‑year journey shows that “unification” is an inevitable step toward corporate maturity; many industry cases exist, yet each company faces its own challenges. From project initiation, planning, design and development, to packaging and delivery, the seemingly orderly results are backed by the full effort of an entire team.

Beyond meeting basic requirements, we continuously enrich the ecosystem of the design system, coordinating resources and driving implementation. The many guidelines and frameworks mentioned in this article have largely been introduced in our previous posts. These efforts reflect our team's growth, proving that diligence and thoughtful reflection are never in vain.
