Chen Kangxian: I currently work on Alibaba Live Platform in Taobao Game, responsible for overall technical architecture and business promotion. The platform provides a one‑stop live streaming solution covering large‑scale audio‑video streaming, chat, bullet screens, PPT teaching, and gifting. It faces challenges such as codec, slicing, distribution, stability, playback quality monitoring, ultra‑high concurrency messaging, signaling, heartbeats, UGC filtering, multi‑device compatibility, and digital rights protection.

My previous work exposed me to heterogeneous SOA systems, cross‑platform deployment, routing, upgrades, and migration. At Taobao I studied various middleware to improve reliability and reduce effort, learned modular page rendering, staticization, and data analysis (online and offline). My current interests include audio‑video technology (DRM, codec, protocols, P2P), high‑performance web duplex communication, and reliability monitoring.

Chen Kangxian: I studied computer science in university and, through chance, joined Taobao. I love technology and the sense of achievement from practice, so I naturally chose this path.

Chen Kangxian: Alibaba faces the biggest challenges in Chinese and global e‑commerce, offering unique scenarios that attract top talent. Working with experts continuously expands my perspective, not only technically but also in problem‑solving and worldview.

Chen Kangxian: Many moments, such as late‑night incident responses, building a Bayesian anti‑spam system, and the massive Double‑Eleven live‑stream project that required designing a system for millions of concurrent users within a tight timeline, taught me the importance of preparation, coordination, and perseverance.

Chen Kangxian: I first grasp the overall concept, then study source code to understand the “why”. I follow English documentation, evaluate core principles, value, and scenarios, and consider community activity and maturity before adopting new tech.
