About the Global DevOps State of the World Report
DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) has published an annual DevOps State of the World report since 2014; over the past five years more than 30,000 technical professionals have participated, using data‑driven research to analyze the management and technical practices behind high‑performing organizations and to help teams understand their industry position and tailor improvement strategies.
The three authors of the report are leading figures in DevOps: Dr. Nicole Forsgren, Jez Humble (author of *Continuous Delivery*, *The Lean Enterprise*, and *The DevOps Handbook*), and Gene Kim (author of *The Phoenix Project* and *The DevOps Handbook*). As the most authoritative industry report in the DevOps field, it provides practitioners worldwide with essential reference data, trend analysis, and a best‑practice knowledge system.
The 2018 edition was released in English at the end of August; to facilitate Chinese readers, the DevOpsDays China community, together with several industry experts and seasoned practitioners, produced the first officially authorized Chinese translation.
