OpenKG Seminar – Knowledge Graphs + Large Language Models Empowering General AI (Session 3)

On June 25, 2024, OpenKG organized the third session of its "Knowledge Graph + Language Model" series at the Alibaba Cloud Valley Visitor Center (Room 441, Wenlan College). The event was livestreamed via the OpenKG video channel.

The program began with opening remarks by Professor Chen Huajun (Zhejiang University) and a greeting from Alibaba Cloud’s Higher Education Cooperation Department, followed by an introduction to OpenKG by Wang Haofen (Tongyi Lab). Subsequent expert presentations covered the Tongyi large‑model system development, a dual‑driven paradigm for digital transformation in the pharmaceutical industry, and several frontier reports on LLM reasoning, sparse‑mode training algorithms, knowledge‑graph‑guided fine‑tuning, and knowledge processing in the era of large models.

Speakers included Dr. Huang Fei (Alibaba Tongyi Lab), Prof. Qi Guilin (Southeast University), CEO Wu Gang (Kegidata), and academic researchers such as He Di (Peking University), Chen Lu (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), Sun Zequn (Nanjing University), and Zhang Ningyu (Zhejiang University). Each delivered in‑depth insights into AI research, model development, and applications.

OpenKG, a neutral, nonprofit community bridging academia and industry, aims to open, interlink, and crowdsource Chinese‑language knowledge‑graph data, as well as to advance open‑source toolchains, algorithm libraries, and platform services, fostering deep integration of knowledge graphs with large language models.
