Overall platform share:
Chrome held the top position in August with a global share of 63.56%, up 0.01 percentage points from the previous month.
Safari ranked second with 19.85% share, down 0.10 points from July.
Edge came third at 5.43%, increasing by 0.29 points.
Firefox was fourth with 2.94%, up 0.15 points.
Opera, Samsung Browser, UC Browser and others split the remaining market.
Desktop:
Chrome 63.52% (up 0.19 pts from July).
Safari 13.02% (down 0.11 pts).
Edge 11.15% (up 0.39 pts).
Firefox 6.18% (up 0.22 pts).
Opera, 360 Secure Browser, IE and others share the rest.
Mobile:
Chrome 64.66% (down 0.13 pts from July).
Safari 24.95% (up 0.16 pts).
Samsung Browser 4.29% (down 0.01 pts).
Opera 2.04% (up 0.10 pts).
UC Browser, Android Browser, Firefox and others split the remaining share.
