Human Resocia released the “2022 Global IT Engineer Report Vol. 6” on December 14, based on an independent survey of IT engineer compensation trends.

The report analyzes salary data for IT professionals in 98 countries using ILO, national statistics and published sources.

Switzerland tops the list with an average salary of $100,053, followed by the United States ($89,161) and Israel ($85,131). In Asia, Japan ranks 20th ($38,337), Hong Kong 19th ($42,315), and Mainland China 25th.

Compared with the 2021 survey (June 25), the highest growth rate is seen in Argentina, whose average salary rose 81.9% year‑over‑year. Panama, Brazil and Mexico also rank in the top ten for salary growth, reflecting a strong increase in the number of IT engineers in South America.

When looking at the power and telecommunications sector, Slovenia shows the greatest increase, followed by Hungary and the Seychelles. In Asia, China’s salary grew 10.1% (13th), South Korea 4.7% (30th) and India 0.7% (41st).
