Visual Hierarchy: Building Effective Information Architecture for UI Design

Visual hierarchy is the foundation for building effective information architecture. When interface elements need to be structured and organized, constructing visual hierarchy can effectively help us achieve this goal.

When facing design challenges, even as newcomers, we can determine the importance of different information on a page after receiving requirements from product and interaction designers. Then, using basic methods to distinguish information levels such as "size, color, contrast, spacing (white space), proximity, distance, weight, etc." to design their presentation hierarchy and order, ultimately producing a page with effective information, reasonable visual hierarchy, and aesthetic appeal.

Of course, the above is just my perspective as a design professional who has recently graduated from school and entered the design field. Addressing common problems we encounter can help everyone successfully support the business we are responsible for. A "clean, neat, and clear" page can equally demonstrate our professionalism.
