Watch Olympic Live Streams on Any Device Using Kodi

The Olympic Games are being broadcast in the evening, but domestic live‑stream apps are unavailable; Kodi can be used for live TV.

Configure IPTV Simple Client plugin

Open Settings → Add‑ons → Install from repository.

Select “PVR client” and install “IPTV Simple Client”.

After installation, open the add‑on, go to Settings → Enabled configuration.

In the “General” section, set the location to a local .m3u file or an online URL.

Return to the main interface, choose “TV – Channels” and the streams become available.

Filter m3u channels

Because shared live‑stream URLs vary in speed, a script can filter the fastest channels. Clone the repository https://github.com/chaichunyang/m3u-tester and run: python3 m3u-tester.py The script checks each .m3u entry and measures connection speed, then generates several files: result.json – full test results (extinf, url, speed). useful.m3u – streams > 200 KB/s. good.m3u – streams > 500 KB/s. wonderful.m3u – streams > 700 KB/s. excellent.m3u – streams > 1 MB/s.

By grouping duplicate channels and selecting the fastest entry, you obtain a curated playlist that can be loaded into the IPTV Simple Client, enabling smooth Olympic live viewing on any supported device (Windows, Linux, macOS, iPhone, Android, webOS, Raspberry Pi).
