Billion-Scale Vector Search in Seconds with EMR Serverless Ray + Lance

Benchmark tests show EMR Serverless Ray combined with Lance achieves sub-second vector retrieval on billion-scale autonomous driving datasets (768-dim, L2, top-20k), with P50 latency of 1.23s for pure vector search and 3.95s for multi-filter queries, enabling integrated multimodal Python workflows for embedding generation, reranking, and sample mining.
