MIT researchers combined physics constraints with data‑driven neural networks to create a Neural State‑Space Model that, using only a few hundred tokamak discharge records, accurately forecasts plasma dynamics during ramp‑down, identifies instabilities, and enables rapid parallel simulations on a single A100 GPU, advancing fusion energy control.
