The Tencent Advertising Rhinoceros Bird Special Research Program, jointly launched by Tencent Advertising and Tencent University Cooperation on June 2, 2020, aims to open advertising technology challenges to global academia and foster industry‑academia collaboration.
Since its 2018 inception, the program has attracted over 20 university faculty members who work closely with Tencent's advertising R&D teams to solve real problems and drive technological innovation.
Advertising serves as a key scenario for machine learning, precise recommendation, natural language processing, parallel computing, and other big data and AI technologies; the program invites Tencent advertising internal experts to review proposals based on feasibility, innovation, relevance to advertising challenges, execution plan, output value, and applicants' academic ability.
Interested scholars can click "Read Original" for details; applicants must submit a project application Word file, after which they receive a confirmation email within 24 hours; the deadline is Beijing time July 5, 2020, 17:00.
In conjunction, the Tencent University Cooperation organizes the Wiztalk series of lectures, sharing frontier topics such as large‑scale tensor decomposition for ad inventory estimation, graph neural network clustering, and fact verification via graph structures, accessible via live replay of the Tencent Advertising Algorithm Competition.
