Ant InTech Technology Award Announces First Ten Young Scholars and Their Research Areas
On September 5 at the 2024 Inclusion·Bund Conference, Ant InTech announced its first ten award-winning young scholars from top Chinese universities, highlighting their research in artificial intelligence, data processing, cloud computing, security, and related fields, each receiving a 200,000‑RMB grant.
On September 5, 2024, at the Inclusion·Bund Conference, Ant Group unveiled the first ten recipients of the Ant InTech Technology Award, a nonprofit prize supporting Chinese young scholars who have made significant contributions to computer science and related disciplines.
The award, initiated in 2024, grants up to 200,000 CNY to each laureate to encourage continued innovation in core technologies such as artificial intelligence, data processing, security, and privacy.
The honored scholars, representing Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, West Lake University, and Hunan University, include:
Chen Quan (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor) – Efficient cloud computing systems for workloads like AI and graph processing.
Dian Renwei (Hunan University, Associate Professor) – Artificial intelligence, computer vision, and image processing.
Dong Yuxiao (Tsinghua University, Associate Professor) – Data mining and foundational large models.
Duan Sisi (Tsinghua University, Researcher) – Data security, blockchain, privacy‑preserving computation, and cryptographic techniques.
Lan Zhenzhong (West Lake University, Lab Director) – Large models and their applications in natural language processing and computer vision.
Liu Pengfei (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Professor) – Natural language processing, large‑model training, alignment, and evaluation.
Lu Youyou (Tsinghua University, Tenured Associate Professor) – Storage systems.
Wang He (Peking University, Assistant Professor) – Embodied intelligence, 3D vision, and robotics.
Wang Xin (Tsinghua University, Associate Researcher) – Multimedia intelligence and machine learning.
Yao Quanming (Tsinghua University, Assistant Professor) – Machine learning and scientific intelligence.
The award ceremony was attended by prominent figures including academicians Zheng Weimin and Chen Chun, and Michael I. Jordan, alongside Ant Group’s CTO He Zhengyu and Vice President Chen Wanguang.
