Highlights from WeDoctor’s Frontend Tech Salon: SSR, Node.js, NW.js & Weex

WeDoctor Frontend Tech Salon – “Boundless”

On May 25, WeDoctor held its second Frontend Tech Salon themed “Boundless”. Over 30 external companies and more than 100 internal colleagues attended, exploring server‑side, desktop and cross‑platform front‑end development.

01. Feb.js – A Vue‑based Universal Application Framework

Han Gaoke from the Hospital Platform presented the principles of Vue SSR, the challenges of SSR architecture, and demonstrated how Feb.js ensures high availability, performance and user experience, and how to quickly build an enterprise‑grade SSR application.

02. Node.js Micro‑service Exploration

Gao Xiang from the User Technology Department shared how to call backend Dubbo services with Node.js, covering service registration, discovery, gateway integration, full‑link tracing, and introduced the BFF layer architecture and its benefits.

03. Frontend Exception Monitoring Techniques

The session described scenario‑based bug reproduction using exception recording, capture, replay, and performance tuning, and how to apply these techniques in a testing environment for quality assurance.

04. Desktop Applications with NW.js

Jiang Jiawei explained the differences between desktop and web development and introduced a client solution based on NW.js, including process communication and request proxying, to simplify front‑end desktop app development.

05. WebView and H5 Integration

Yin Liping compared several JavaScript‑to‑Native communication methods, presented H5 localization solutions, WebView cookie management, and various mobile debugging approaches.

06. Weex in the WeDoctor App

Hu Mengjie and Zhang Mingfeng demonstrated how WeDoctor built a complete Weex solution from scratch, covering integration into the app, rendering flow, downgrade rendering, and related services such as weex‑code, weex‑tester, and weex‑manager.
