How Huawei’s AI Large‑Model Teacher Training Empowered Educators in Henan

From January 16 to 18, Huawei Cloud held a three‑day AI large‑model teacher training in Henan at the Henan Information Statistics Vocational College, attracting over 40 teachers from 18 schools nationwide.

Vice President Sun Jin opened the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of AI large models and the need to cultivate AI talent.

Li Xupeng, deputy general manager of Huawei’s Cloud Business Department in Henan, welcomed the participants and highlighted the growing role of large models across industries and education.

Chen Jing, manager of Huawei Cloud’s industry‑education integration, presented the topic “Advancing industry‑education integration to deepen talent cultivation,” describing Huawei’s developer innovation center solutions for HarmonyOS, AI and large‑model talent and the market demand for such skills.

The training covered the fundamentals of AI large‑model concepts, architecture and application scenarios, followed by an introduction to prompt engineering, its principles and practical techniques. In the hands‑on session, instructors demonstrated how to craft high‑quality prompts to improve model output.

Interactive discussions allowed teachers to exchange views on hot issues and challenges in large‑model technology, enhancing their understanding and teaching capabilities.

The event concluded that the training not only provided a learning platform for educators but also injected new vitality into the development of AI education, with plans for continued collaboration between Huawei and schools.
