Hybrid Cloud Development Landscape and Industry Panorama (2021)

The digital economy is booming, and in 2021 China’s digital economy continued its vigorous growth, becoming a core engine of national economic development.

Hybrid cloud is identified as a future focus of cloud computing and the digital economy. The 14th Five‑Year Plan emphasizes cloud computing as a key industry, with hybrid cloud as the main development route.

Cloud computing has entered a multi‑cloud hybrid era: 92% of surveyed enterprises use a multi‑cloud strategy, averaging 5.3 clouds, and 82% of users employ hybrid‑cloud deployment models.

Hybrid cloud has become the mainstream model for domestic enterprises; among the 72.1% of companies using cloud services, more than half have adopted hybrid cloud.

The 2021 Hybrid Cloud Industry Panorama, released by the Hybrid Cloud Industry Promotion Alliance, presents the first comprehensive industry map, covering eight major sections: Hybrid‑cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, security, industry solutions, networking, CMP (cloud‑management platform), and MSP (managed service provider), each showcasing leading representative vendors.

Historically, public‑cloud and private‑cloud providers operated on parallel tracks, with hybrid deployments often formed by combining the two. Today, many providers offer both public and private cloud capabilities, and some have extended to edge and container deployments, gradually完善ing hybrid‑cloud infrastructure services.

Future plans for the panorama include further updates and expanded coverage.
