Key Takeaways from China’s DevOps Summit: Enterprise Maturity & AIOps Standards

On October 22, 2021, the DevOps International Summit (DOIS) was held in Beijing, presenting practice cases and tool technologies from leading internet, overseas, and industry enterprises, with a focus on systematic DevOps applications in finance, telecommunications, and other sectors.

During the summit, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) released the 14th batch of DevOps Capability Maturity Continuous Delivery assessment results and the first trial evaluation of the Intelligent Operations (AIOps) system and tool technical requirements.

Enterprises that passed the Level‑3 Continuous Delivery assessment:

Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Co., Ltd.: Zero‑Loan Command Management Platform, Industry Customer Insight Platform, ETC Payment System, Unified Clearing Platform

Zhengzhou Bank Co., Ltd.: Next‑Generation Retail Credit System

Additional enterprises that passed the same assessment:

Haitong Securities Co., Ltd.: e‑Haitong Finance Information Center – Data Application Service System

China Tower Co., Ltd.: Master Data Management Module

Henan Zhongyuan Consumer Finance Co., Ltd.: New Generation Consumer Credit System

To date, a total of 42 enterprises covering 108 projects have passed the DevOps Capability Maturity assessment (Level 3 for continuous delivery, Level 2 for technical operations, security and risk management, and system/tool evaluation). Four projects from these enterprises also passed the Level 2 continuous delivery assessment.

DevOps Capability Maturity Model introduction: The DevOps Capability Maturity Model series, led by CAICT together with the Cloud Computing Open Source Industry Alliance, Efficient Operations Community, BATJ, and major financial and telecom enterprises, is the first domestic and international DevOps standard series. The standard was officially concluded by the United Nations‑affiliated ITU‑T in July 2020, becoming the world’s first international DevOps standard. The assessment framework covers agile development management, continuous delivery, technical operations, application design, security and risk management, and system and tool evaluation.

Intelligent Operations (AIOps) Capability Maturity Model introduction: The AIOps model series, also led by CAICT, defines the first international standard for intelligent operations. The model’s second part (system and tool technical requirements) has opened four modules for pilot evaluation: anomaly detection, fault prediction, alarm convergence, and root‑cause analysis. Enterprises may participate in any or all of these modules.

AIOps assessment results (first trial):

Anomaly Detection Module: Huatai Securities Co., Ltd. – Huatai AIOps Intelligent Operations Platform (Comprehensive)

Alarm Convergence Module: China Mobile Zhejiang Co., Ltd. – Fault Center (Comprehensive)

Root‑Cause Analysis Module: China Mobile Guangdong Co., Ltd. – “AI+Knowledge Experience” Dual‑Mode Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Platform (Comprehensive)

Root‑Cause Analysis Module: Beijing Xijun Data Technology Co., Ltd. – Xijun Data Intelligent Operations Platform (Comprehensive)
