Vivo Qianjing Cup Cybersecurity Challenge 2022 Launches
The 2022 Vivo Qianjing Cup Cybersecurity Challenge, launched on September 15 under the “Assemble! Geek Youth” theme, invites nationwide security enthusiasts to uncover vulnerabilities in Vivo products through online puzzles and an offline final, offering a 200,000‑yuan prize pool plus uncapped bounty rewards and judging by experts from AWS, Ant Group and leading universities.
The 2022 Vivo Qianjing Cup Cybersecurity Challenge officially launched on September 15th, themed "Assemble! Geek Youth." This competition offers substantial prizes and combines both entertainment and challenge elements.
Last year, Vivo hosted its first Qianjing Cup cybersecurity competition, bringing together students from various universities through attack-defense competitions and technical forums. This year, the competition returns with a new format and generous prizes, inviting cybersecurity enthusiasts nationwide to detect security vulnerabilities in Vivo products to collectively protect the privacy of hundreds of millions of users.
The competition emphasizes user privacy protection, with Vivo treating "data security, privacy protection, and legal compliance" as non-negotiable red lines in their business operations. The company has long been committed to enhancing user product security experience and actively invites security experts to challenge their products to further improve security.
The competition features both online puzzle-solving and offline final rounds, requiring team participation. The online competition includes business and open questions, where participants must detect vulnerabilities in Vivo's mobile device client applications. The submission portal will officially open on September 26th.
The competition offers substantial prizes including a base prize pool of 200,000 yuan and additional bounty rewards. Participants can earn an extra 5-10万元 for each serious vulnerability or open question vulnerability discovered, with no upper limit on rewards.
The competition has assembled a professional judging panel including security experts from major companies like AWS and Ant Group, professors from universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University, and Vivo's own security experts.
Finalists will have the opportunity to interact face-to-face with security experts for technical discussions and exchanges. More details and competition rules are available through the Vivo Qianjing WeChat public account and the official competition website.
