.NET Aspire is a set of tools, templates, and packages for building applications that depend on many different resources.

According to Microsoft, the .NET Aspire dashboard allows developers to track every aspect of an application in real time, including logs, traces, and environment configuration.

In the newly released 9.1 version, the dashboard adds six major new features:

Parent‑child resource model

Ability to override browser locale defaults so the dashboard can use a language different from the browser

Filtering resources by type, status, and health

More resource data points, including references, reverse references, and volume counts

Capability for the dashboard to receive telemetry data from other browser‑based applications

Option to download console logs and hide timestamps to reduce visual clutter

The dashboard also received UX improvements such as “Start” and “Stop” buttons on the console log page, clickable URLs, and resetting scroll position when switching between resources.

Beyond the dashboard, .NET Aspire 9.1 includes other enhancements:

Resources can be started on demand instead of launching with the rest of the application

Improved Docker integration

Enhanced development container support
