Which Beijing Data Centers Deliver the Best Network Performance? A Comprehensive Ranking
This report ranks Beijing data centers by network quality, using over 27 million ping samples to evaluate packet loss and latency, and explains the testing methodology, key terminology, and the resulting comprehensive ranking of 40 facilities.
Historical Data Ranking
Testing Methodology
Bonree Data Monitoring Center conducted ping tests every 10 minutes on 40 Beijing data centers, using 32‑byte packets sent 20 times per test; a test exceeding 20 seconds was considered a timeout. The tests were performed from telecom, Unicom, Mobile, and education networks in 80 major cities across China.
More than 27 million samples were collected each month, yielding two key metrics: packet loss rate and latency. These metrics were used to evaluate and rank the network quality of each data center.
The monitored facilities include 19 IDC providers such as Lanjun, Hualian Tong, Dilian, Wangsu, Kuaiwang, Zhicheng KuaiXun, Hongtu Xinda, Tiandi Xiangyun, Qishang Online, Shiji Huliang, Dianxin Tong, Huasu Data, Senhua Yiteng, Huliang Hutong, Yimai Technology, Tongniu, Guanghuan Xinwang, Shoudu Online, and Juren Xingyun.
Key Terms
Packet loss rate: The ratio of lost packets to the total number of transmitted packets, typically caused by physical line faults, equipment failures, network congestion, or routing errors.
Latency: The time required for a packet to travel from one end of a network to the other, determined by Internet routing; high latency can occur on low‑speed or heavily congested links, potentially leading to long delays or packet loss.
