WildAWM: Synthetic Computer Worlds Train Agents That Stump GPT-6 Astra

Researchers from Microsoft Research and universities introduce WildAWM, a framework that synthesizes complete personal computer environments with CLI, GUI, and MCP interfaces using only open-source models, generates cross-interface tasks validated through a five-gate process, and trains Qwen models that improve on eight out-of-distribution benchmarks, even creating tasks that challenge GPT-6 Astra.
