FreeBSD Q1 2024 Progress: New Audio Stack, Graphical Installer, and Bhyve Enhancements

In its Q1 2024 status report, FreeBSD announced a new audio stack project, ongoing work on a modern graphical installer using bsddialog, a prototype for BSD‑inspired Xdialog, enhancements to bsdinstall, a UnionFS stability agreement, a port collection of over 32,000 ports, and continued improvements to the Bhyve hypervisor.
