Direct Reprogramming Resets Epigenetic Age in Human Cells Over 50 Days

University of Bonn researchers directly reprogrammed human blood cells from donors aged 0–101 into induced neural stem cells using SOX2 and cMYC, finding epigenetic age dropped to ~13% of donor age at early passages and ~5% later, with age-related DNA methylation marks resetting gradually over ~50 days independent of cell proliferation.
